Lyn Riesterer came up with the idea of organising trips for women through New Zealand after living in England for 10 years. When she returned, she realised that her homeland was actually a really special place (as most Kiwis eventually do) and wanted to share it with others. She's a typical New Zealander of Maori-English-Scottish-Irish and German descent and will be your tour guide for the trip.
"My ideal for each tour would be that we meet as strangers but part as friends, knowing that each woman has been able to share my enthusiasm and love for New Zealand." Lyn
Kate Adams is a Pommy*. She moved to NZ from England having got stuck here during a year's travel around the world. She found a kindred spirit in Lyn who loves to play in the big outdoors as much as she does! Kate provides the administration for the company and created this website. She enjoys constructing 'things' out of driftwood, and also runs a graphic design business www.driftwooddesign.co.nz
* Pommy = affectionate (sometimes) term for English people!
"Superlatives are not enough. New Zealand is truly fabulous - the people, the scenery, the pies…." Kate

Been there, done that,
got the T-Shirt?
We don't think so!
We may be a small company, but we know that the enthusiasm we have for Aotearoa, New Zealand will ensure you have a wonderful, personalised glimpse of the country. We want to provide you with an individual touch to make your exploration of NZ extra special.
We believe that the worst way to see a country is by zooming through, trying to take in as many sights as possible in one go. (Been there, done that, got the T-shirt?) Wouldn't you get exhausted being whisked from one place to another, spending hours in a minibus with no time to explore?
We aim to give you as wide a view of what NZ has to offer while travelling with us on your adventures, so you will at least have time to enjoy what you are seeing and doing. We hope that by giving you a proper taste of the country you will want to return.
Driftwood Dreamers?
We came up with the name 'Driftwood Dreamers' after spending so much time on our local, isolated beach, strewn with driftwood. We have claimed this beach as our own special place and this is where ideas for our trips were initially hatched, gazing out to sea with volcanic White Island puffing on the horizon.
